The author is an art historian whose doctorate was on an architectural theme
and has worked since 2000 as a surveyor at Kronberg (Koch Engineering). Credits

This reconstruction corrects some popular ideas about Werla without repeating or
evaluating them. These hypotheses will be discussed in the 2004 issue of the
Harz-Zeitschrift.
